Chapter 4 - Rick - Background

It’s been three weeks since I’ve met Rebecka Johnson at her company’s employee appreciation party. I’ve been longing to get in touch with her ever since. I didn’t want to seem too bold and showing up at her office and asking her if she had remembered me. Yet, I didn’t want to just let her slip away. If I wasn’t mistaken, she didn’t bring a date to the party. Maybe she’s single, maybe she’s not. There’s only one way to find out. My life isn’t really on the perfect side. I have an ex-girlfriend who keeps calling my phone apologizing. No children, brothers or sisters. You can say I was alone and aging slowly. “Hello?” I said answering the unknown number. “Rick, I need to see you.” A voice said over the phone. “Ja’ya?” Speaking of the devil, she just never quits. “What have I told you about calling me? I’ve told you already its over between us.” I said reminding her about the past. “I know. That’s why I called on an unknown number. Please don’t hang up! Can you meet me at the stands?” She begged. “Five minutes! That’s all you have.” I said and hung up.
